Spektra Systems today announced the successful completion of SOC 2 Type 1 certification and GDPR readiness assessment, formally validating the design and implementation of the security, availability, and privacy controls that protect CloudLabs customer data.

What SOC 2 Type 1 validates

A SOC 2 Type 1 report independently confirms that an organization has the right controls in place at a specific point in time — covering security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of customer data. The Type 1 report is the foundational milestone that customers and partners use during their procurement and risk-review processes.

For CloudLabs customers — particularly enterprises and educational institutions handling sensitive training data — this certification confirms:

  • Security — controls covering access, encryption, change management, and incident response.
  • Availability — operational design that supports the platform’s uptime commitments.
  • Confidentiality — segmentation of customer-specific data and lab environments.
  • Privacy — alignment with the AICPA Trust Services Criteria.

GDPR readiness for European engagements
