By adopting CloudLabs, Sault College is able to provide its students with cutting-edge Microsoft Azure Cloud training in Cyber Security, Network Architecture, and Security Analytics

Overview

Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology, a unique and publicly funded institution, is nestled in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. Since its inception in 1965 as the Ontario Vocational Centre, the college has continually evolved, now offering a diverse array of programs. These include apprenticeship, adult retraining, post-secondary education, etc., catering to the educational needs of approximately 4,500 students. The institute aimed to enhance its Cyber Security and Network Architecture and Security Analytics programs by incorporating comprehensive Microsoft Azure Cloud training. However, had to deal with Microsoft Azure credit limitations for long-term courses. Also, the college’s live IT Cloud operations infrastructure as a training platform was not feasible for students due to security concerns and operational constraints.

The collaboration between CloudLabs and Sault College did turn out to be fruitful in the following ways:

  1. Sault College was able to continue delivering the Microsoft Azure Cloud training in Cyber Security, Network Architecture, and Security Analytics without compromising on effectiveness and affordability.
  2. CloudLabs provided AZ-900, AZ-104, and SC-900 labs tailored to Sault College’s unique curriculum needs.
  3. The feature-rich labs were compliant with an industry-grade security framework.
  4. CloudLabs offered daily cost reports, helping admins restrict, allocate and extend student-wise lab credits for each course.

The arrangement thoroughly catered to the educational standards set up by Sault College.
